Results of the Ural Programming Championship

On 1-3 May, the XVII Ural Championship in Sports Programming was held in Yekaterinburg. 60 teams from Russia, China, Poland and other countries participated in the championship.

The winning team was Moscow SU Unpretired (Kornakov, Dlugach, Popelyshev) with 9 solved problems. Dlugach Yasha (a past golden medalist of ACM ICPC) was the trainer of MIPT teams. The students won a large cup which Yasha handed in to the IT Education Development Center of MIPT.

Moscow IPT Unutterable Team (with Zhukov Dmitry, Smirnov Ivan, Tihomir Mihail) were fourth with 7 solved problems. The championship was also participated by teams from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology: Moscow IPT Lambda (Pimenov Maxim, Gorshenin Yury, Alsarmini Kinan), Moscow IPT The Sun (Chebanov Georgy, Mashrabov Alexander, Ruhovich Filipp), Moscow IPT Ababahalamaha (Anurin Andrey, Dmitriyev Alexey, Ostanin Alexander), solving 6, 5 and 4 problems respectively.

Results of the BSUIR Programming Championship

From 23 to 25 April, the Belorussian State University of Informatics and Electronics hosted the Open Sports Programming Championship. It was participated by two teams from the Moscow Insitute of Physics and Technology: MIPT Ababahalamaha (Anurin Andrey, Dmitriyev Alexey and Ostanin Alexander - students of FIHT) and MIPT Buton (Savinov Yevgeny, Kiyan Sergey and Bagan Alexander from the Faculty of General and Applied Physics).

The teams did well on the championship: MIPT Ababahalamaha became silver prizers (absolute second place), MIPT Buton were five positions behind in the standings and took the 8th place.
